Experience: 1 to 3+ years in a CAD drafting or similar role (junior level). Basic understanding of: instrumentation and control systems, automation systems, P&IDs, cause & effect diagrams, electrical and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
We are looking for a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support our Automation and Controls team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals eager to grow in the oil & gas industry while working on impactful engineering projects. Location: Midland, Texas (on-site role — candidates must be locally based or willing to relocate). Key Responsibilities: Provide design and drafting support to Automation Engineers, creating and modifying engineering drawings using AutoCAD. Perform field visits to support data gathering and collaborate closely with the Automation and Controls team. Apply foundational knowledge of oil & gas equipment — including wellheads, separators, compressors, metering systems, tanks, pumps, piping systems, fuel gas systems, valves, and instrumentation — to develop accurate process drawings. Develop and maintain technical documents: P&IDs, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, cause & effect diagrams, and instrumentation drawings. Produce hand sketches for equipment layouts and process representation when required. Organize, update, and maintain drawing files and documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.Postular a esta oferta
